Thanks for visiting my website. My name is Erin Chew and I am a 21 year old programmer living in the Sacramento, CA area. I am currently breaking into the professional software development industry and building a name for myself by sharing my programming knowledge and releasing open source applications of all sorts. This website will serve as an example of my programming abilities.
Up to this point I am completely self taught, which is something that I take pride in. As of late I realize that I do not want to pass up the opportunity to get a quality education and I am currently working to attain a degree in computer engineering.

Skill Set
- Familiar with object oriented concepts and frameworks such as CakePHP, Symphony, and Code igniter. Extensive experience developing for Drupal, Wordpress, TextPattern, Magento, PHPBBx, Vbulletin, and SMF.
- MySQL is a beautiful method of storing information. I have extensive experience converting from CVS to MySQL and upgrading database schemas.
- I've been studying design for almost a decade, but I never applied professional usability techniques until a few years ago. Like with XHTML/CSS, I couldn't go without.
- I am not really sure how I went so long without XHTML/CSS standards. I couldn't live without them now.
- Familiar with JQuery, Prototype, Scriptaculous. Can do amazing things with the mentioned.
- Fairly new to Ruby. Comfortable with it's syntax.
- Quickly becoming a big fan of Java and Swing(GUI). I have a little bit of JSP experience that I could definitely pick up on again.
- I couldn't go without C++. I'm starting to get heavy into 3d rendering and physics libraries. Syntax is nice, but there's always more to learn :)
